Ich finde schon, dass sie wieder zum alten StarTrek-Universum zurücksollten, denn wie Robert sagt, ist es sonst nicht mehr StarTrek. Es wird sonst beliebig; alles ist möglich, ist dann halt einfach ein neuer Sci-Fi-Film, gut gemacht und so, aber nicht mehr so richtig ST. Na, ma gucken. Sie werden bestimmt erstmal abwarten, wie die Fans reagieren, bevor sie das neue Drehbuch schreiben.

WHY TIME TRAVEL?
Many (including myself) have wondered what the point was of going to such great lengths to reconcile existing Star Trek cannon with a new story. Why bother with all this alternate-timeline hooey? If you’re rebooting the franchise and starting over, then just start over! The problem with that, according to Kurtzman & Orci, is that audiences might have assumed this new movie was simply an attempt to tell a story about Kirk & Spock from back before the original series, and everything that happened in Trek lore is still destined to happen. Where’s the fun in watching this crew take on the galaxy if we know Kirk will eventually be killed by Soren, Spock will become an ambassador to Romulus and everyone else lives? By history being altered, nothing has yet been written – Kirk really could die on the next mission and Khan might end up selling shoes. With a whole new timeline, stories are no longer beholden to “established” history and while everything we know and love is still there, how it plays out is no longer written. If you’ll pardon the cliche, essentially it means that everything old is new again!

ich als nicht star trek kenner fand den film sehr gut, habe mich allerdings auch nich an irgendwelchen "anderen" realitäten gestört, ich kenn ja keine andere..lol für mich war das quasi alles logisch 
deswegen halt ich mich aus der "ist nich das alte star trek" sache mal raus
toller film: 9/10 |

Die Prognosen für das 2. Wochenende gehen von mehr als 40 Mio Dollar (- 44%)
in den USA aus. Somit hätte der Film allein in den USA bereits ca. 150 Mio Dollar
in knapp 11 Tagen eingespielt.

Am Freitag hat der Film in den USA die 200 Mio Dollar Marke durchbrochen!
Weltweit steht das Einspielergebnis bei etwas mehr als 290 Mio Dollar.
Außerdem wurde noch Concept Art für den Film veröffentlicht: klick!

Also hab heute den Film geschaut (OV) und fand den super. Ich bin Trekkie seit ewigen Zeiten, wobei ich TOS nicht komplett geschaut habe, das war etwas vor meiner Zeit.
Dennoch die gesamte Situation und Diskussion rund um den Zeitsprung und der daduch neuen Storyline verstehe ich nicht (ich lass das mit den Spoilern mal langsam, weil mir das schon auf den Keks ging beim lesen)....
Ich mein es gab genügend Folgen in den diversen Star Trek Serien, die von Parallel Universen sprachen, die einfach dadurch enstehen, dass jemand sich mal anders entscheidet. Das wurde ja nie ausgeschlossen...
Der Film erzählt halt das eine Universum, deswegen besteht das, was wir kennen dennoch weiter. Stört mich persönlich nicht im geringsten.
Als Trekkie sollte man für sowas schon offen sein
Ich fand die Dialoge klasse, vor allem Chekov war der Hammer, aber auch Scotty. Sehr geil! Hab selten so lachen müssen im Kino!

Genau so sehe ich das auch. Darum stört mich diese Veränderung nicht im geringsten, die Autoren werden das sicher auch nicht mehr gerade rücken.

During the Drill Machine sequence as the Enterprise comes out of its barrel role amidst destruction of the other Federation ships above Vulcan, we cut to an interior Enterprise bridge over the shoulder of Kirk that is looking out through the front viewscreen. In space, R2-D2 is floating in the debris from about the top middle of the screen to the bottom right.

Star Trek - What You Missed
Hey kids. Harry Barber here, back with a really unusual look at a script. What's
unusual is that you've probably already seen the movie. It's Star Trek, that nifty
J.J. Abrams movie that hoovered up cash like no Trek movie in history. What I
have here is a shooting draft of the script from the current kings of the big budget
blockbuster, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. And that's of interest because I can
talk to you about all the stuff that didn't make the final cut of the flick.

Among the other extras on the high-end versions are plot-based deleted scenes, such as a cut scene with a baby Spock, ears and all. Another cut includes an abandoned story line with Nero and a look at Abrams' version of the warrior Klingons.
The Blu-ray set will include a BD Live feature that connects viewers to live updates from space through NASA. Those who want to explore the film's space ships more, also will be able to click on the Star Fleet Vessel Simulator to get a 360-degree view of the Enterprise and other ships.
