Laut variety.com wird Jessica Alba in der Komödie THE TEN mitspielen, in der es um die 10 Gebote gehen wird. Die Dreharbeiten sollen im Juli beginnen und größtenteils in New York stattfinden.
City Lights Pictures and MEGA Films have teamed to finance and produce "The Ten," a comedy spoofing the Ten Commandments, to be directed by David Wain ("Wet Hot America Summer"). Pic, written by Wain and Ken Marino, will star Paul Rudd, Amanda Peet, Jessica Alba, Ken Marino, Justin Theroux and Adam Brody.
Jonathan Stern will produce with Morris Levy for MEGA along with Marino, Rudd and Wain. City Lights CEO Danny Fisher and Michael Almog will exec produce, Michael Califra will co-exec produce and Marcus Lansdell will associate produce. Filming will begin in July, primarily in New York.
Wain's credits include small-screen comedy series "The State" and Comedy Central show "Stella." Marino is screenwriter, producer and cast member of "Diggers," which will be released later this year by HDNet/Magnolia. City Lights and MEGA just completed principal photography on the thriller "Descent," produced by and starring Rosario Dawson. City Lights also produced "Tamara" for Lionsgate and "Interrupted," directed by Philip Kaufman.

Wie der Hollywood Reporter berichtet sind Winona Ryder, Famke Janssen, Gretchen Mol, Liev Schreiber, Rob Corddry, Ron Silver und Oliver Platt die Neuesten Mitglieder der Besetzung von "The Ten", eine Satire, die die Zehn Gebote der Bibel veralbert.
Mit von der Partie sind bisher bereits Jessica Alba, Adam Brody, Ken Marino, Paul Rudd und Justin Theroux.
Der Film wird von David Wain in Szene gesetzt und in New York und Mexiko gedreht.

Mich würde nur mal interessieren, warum Jess nicht auch bei der Premiere von "The Ten" dabei war. Vielleicht keinen Bock auf Kälte und Schnee? Und vielleicht wollte sie ihre freien Tage einfach etwas chillen und Zeit mit Cash und ihrer Familie verbringen.
Immerhin waren ja genug Repräsentanten des Films anwesend, also könnte man ihr jetzt keinen Vorwurf machen. Aber ein bisschen schade finde ich´s trotzdem. |

Es war ja nur ein Screening ... ich denke wenn der Film im August dann in die Kinos
kommt, dann wird es sicher eine richtige Premiere mit allen Stars geben.

It's the same comedy sensibility of the guys who did "The State", "Reno 911", "Stella", and the afore-mentioned " W.H.A.S." but on a much more professional level. It looked great visually, it had an all-star cast (off the top of my head, Paul Rudd, Gretchen Mol, Oliver Platt, Justin Theroux, Famke Jannsen, Jessica Alba, Rob Corrdry, that young kid from the O.C., and many more). It's basically just ten comedy sketches all somewhat combined, sharing a character or two, representing each of the 10 commandments, with Paul Rudd's character providing a constant 11th sketch in between each of the commandments. It's short, hilarious, and leaves you wanting more. A hilarious film that I want to see again. Probably the best film I saw. Score? 9.5/10 (0.5 points deducted for the two or three lame jokes and the stupid rock scene at the end).
