"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K. Rowling, the seventh and final book in the best-selling series, has been scheduled for release at 12:01 a.m. on July 21, 2007, it was announced today by Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," J.K. Rowling's sixth Harry Potter book, was released on July 16, 2005, and was the fastest-selling book in history, selling 6.9 million copies in the first 24 hours. All six "Harry Potter" books, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" have been number one bestsellers in the United States, the U.K., and around the world. There are currently over 120 million copies of the "Harry Potter" books in print in the United States alone.
Scholastic will publish "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" (ISBN: 0- 545-01022-5 ; Price: $34.99) in hardcover under the Arthur A. Levine imprint with interior and cover art by Mary GrandPre, who has illustrated the previous six books. The deluxe edition (ISBN: 0-545-02937-6; Price: $65.00) and reinforced library edition (ISBN: 0-545-02936-8 ; Price: $39.99 ) will be published simultaneously.

The US gets a wrap-around cover
Scholastic today released both the front and back covers (see below) of the highly anticipated "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," J.K. Rowling's seventh and final Harry Potter book due in stores on July 21st at 12:01 a.m. Once again, the stunning cover art was created by Mary GrandPré, the acclaimed illustrator of all six previous U.S. editions of the Harry Potter books.
"The front cover of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' features a dramatic sky of oranges and golds. It depicts 17-year-old Harry with arm outstretched, reaching upward. The structures around Harry show evident destruction and in the shadows behind him, we see outlines of other people," said David Saylor, Scholastic's Vice President and Creative Director who has designed all seven Harry Potter covers.
"For the first time the cover is a wrap-around. On the back cover spidery hands are outstretched towards Harry. Only when the book is opened does one see a powerful image of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, his glowing red eyes peering out from his hood."
Bloomsbury Publishing Plc also today released the cover images for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," which will appear on editions distributed in Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and many other countries throughout the world.

Potter-Bücher aus dem All überwacht
Millionen Fans zittern schon vor Ungeduld. Stirbt Harry Potter? Noch vier Tage,
dann wird das große Geheimnis um das Schicksal des Zauberschülers endlich

Ich hab die letzten Bände alle über amazon vorbestellt und sie kamen pünktlich mit der Post; das wird bestimmt auch diesmal klappen *hoff*. Ich hab in den letzten Tagen nochmal den 6. Band gelesen, was auch ganz gut war, denn ich hatte viele Einzelheiten vergessen. Apropos Sicherheitsvorkehrungen: ich hatte irgendwo (Spiegel?) gelesen, dass der Anwalt des englischen Verlages, der das Manuskript in die USA gebracht hat, den ganzen Flug lang draufsaß! |

Dann besserwiss hier aber auch nicht rum! Da haste nämlich unrecht. Waner Bros hat alle Recht übernommen, als sie anfingen die Filme zu machen, also sind sie für Die Bücher, Filme und das Rundrum zuständig. Ich zitiere mal was in den Büchern steht:

Könnte natürlich sein, dass es einfach nur einer der Drucker war, das sich ein Buch stibitz hat oder ein Lieferrant. Soweit ich weiß, kriegen die Bücherläden, das Buch erst am Freitag (ich glaube sogar erst am Abend) damit ja niemand zu früh anfängt zu lesen! |

Amazon kriegt die Bücher bestimmt schon früher als am Freitag. Die müssen die ja rechtzeitig verpacken und wegschicken, damit die Leute sie am Samstag in der Post haben. |

Also gestern oder vorgestern wurde in einem Bericht gezeigt wie die Bücher an
Amazon gingen, samt Interview eines Amazon-Mitarbeiters über die Sicherheit.

Das habe ich aber auch schon beim letzten Buch gesehen bei Galileo! Da meine ich auch, dass die Bücher schon Donnerstag rausgehen, damit die Freitagabend rechtzeitig in den passenden Postfillialen sind! |

Ich hab vorhin von amazon eine mail bekommen, dass mein Exemplar "versandfertig gemacht" wurde. Kommt morgen mit DHL. In größeren Städten gibt es ja vielleicht Buchhandlungen (am Bahnhof?), die ab Mitternacht verkaufen. Obwohl ...... dürfen die nachts überhaupt offen haben, wegen des Ladenschlussgesetzes? |

Nicht in jedem Land gibt es Ladenschlussgesetzte und es gibt sondergenehmigungen in NRW darfst du ohne Weiteres heute Nacht umd 12 verkaufen (was auch einige machen). Ja aber was heißt morgen? Ich weiß noch das beim letzten Band auf Deutsch DHL nachts geliefert hat! |

Jetzt schreibe ich mal was passendes:
Gedanken in der Nacht:
Ich sitze hier ganz nervös. Da das Buch im UK um Mitternacht verkauft werden. Nach MEZ währe das 1 Uhr nachts jetzt ist es 0:42 und ich weiß immer noch nicht ob DHL das noch in der Nacht liefert.
Gerade überlege ich mir wieviele Leute wohl vor'm Bouvier stehen (Bonns größte Buchhandlung) wo heute Nacht um 1 der Verkauf losgeht. Aber da wäre das natürlich stressiger und da wäre es wohl und nachern sprengen die wie bei BC(WOW Addon) wieder die eine Scheibe sprengen und wie komm ich dann zurück Nachtbusse fahren nur bis 3 und Taxi bis zu mir (wohn weit weg von der Innenstadt).
Jetzt versuch ich mich gerade abzulenken in dem ich mit meinem Bruder über Waagen streite, aber das bringt auch nichts. R.A.B wer kann nur R.A.B sein und besiegt wie ich es hoffe Hermine Harry (egal ob die Sachen die im Internet stehen oder nicht ich will sie nicht sehen).
Jetzt haben wir gleich 1 und ich weiß immer noch nicht mehr und morgen muss ich auch noch von 12-18:00Uhr arbeiten.
Verdammt!
Habt ihr auch so eine ähnliche Nacht verbracht wie ich oder habt ihr heute Nacht euch das Buch gekauft? Fänd ich echt cool zu wissen! |

Ich bin seit heut nachmittag um 16 Uhr damit fertig. Hat bei mir aber länger als 47 min gedauert  .
Fazit: gutes, spannendes Buch, das ein angemessenes Ende für die Story liefert. Mrs Rowling sind immer noch einige neue Dinge eingefallen, sodass ich manchmal noch überrascht wurde.  Mehr schreibe ich mal noch nicht, weil es sicher noch nicht alle fertig gelesen haben. |
