Marvel's The Avengers
Crossover-Film, der die zuvor in eigenen Filmen etablierten Superhelden Iron Man
(Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) und Captain America (Chris Evans)
im Kampf gegen eine Bedrohung vereint. Wie so oft hält Marvel Details zur
Geschichte unter Verschluss. Nichtsdestotrotz sickerten bereits Details durch, so
dass es die Avengers wohl wieder mit Thors sinisterem Halbbruder Loki (Tom
Hiddleston) zu tun bekommen. Dieser versucht mit Hilfe des kosmischen Würfels
Rache für seine Niederlage zu nehmen. Um seine körperlichen Nachteile auszu-
gleichen, manipuliert er Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), der sich unter Wut in das
grüne Monster, den Hulk, verwandelt. Als dieser anfängt, Städte in Schutt und
Asche zu legen, kann er nur gestoppt werden, wenn die Superhelden ihn gemein-
sam und in Zusammenarbeit mit dem mysteriösen Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson)

ich hab mir den Film gestern angeschaut und war eigentlich begeistert. Hatte Anfangs meine Zweifel das man alle Charaktere gut im Film unterbringen kann, aber die waren schnell verflogen! Die Story ist gut erzählt und der Fun-Faktor kommt nicht zu kurz!
Ich würde dem Film 8 von 10 Punkten geben |

Marvel's The Avengers was released overseas as "Avengers Assemble" into 39 territories (roughly 70% of its international run), and has brought in $178.4 million since opening on Wednesday. It opened at #1 in every single one of those territories while setting opening weekend records in many South and Central American countries where it opened. Some of the individual numbers include $24.7 million from the UK, $19.7 million from Australia, $15.9 million from Mexico and $12.9 million from Korea. The movie opened in 94 IMAX locations worldwide, pulling in $5.6 million (the highest gross for a Marvel IMAX title internationally), averaging $59,256 per location.
By comparison, Peter Berg's Battleship, which also has yet to be released in North America, has grossed $170 million internationally after two and a half weeks of release compared to Avengers making more than that in just five days.

Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios announced this morning that Marvel's The Avengers earned another $20.6 million internationally on Wednesday, May 2nd. That puts the overseas total at $281.1 million so far.
In just eight days of release, Marvel's The Avengers has already passed the total international box office for Captain America: The First Avenger ($192 million), Iron Man ($267 million) and Thor ($268 million). Iron Man 2 earned $311.5 million internationally which the film will easily pass.
The action adventure opens in North America at midnight tonight!

The Avengers Sets New Opening Weekend Record with $200.3M!
Walt Disney Pictures is projecting that Marvel's The Avengers will earn an estimated $200.3 million at the domestic box office this weekend from 4,349 locations, making it the highest-grossing debut of all time! The previous record of $169.2 million was held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 last year. "The Avengers" averaged $46,063 per theater in North America.
The movie has become the fastest to reach the $200 million mark domestically in three days. It earned $80.5 million on Friday, which is the second-highest single day take of all time and Saturday's take of $69.7 million is the highest Saturday of all time.
"The Avengers," which received an A+ CinemaScore, will cross the $600 million global box office mark today after just 12 days of release! The film added another $151.5 million this weekend internationally and has reached $441.5 million overseas from 52 territories. The movie's estimated global total after today is $641.8 million! "The Avengers" cost about $220 million to make, not counting marketing expenses.
The global box office for "The Avengers" has already surpassed the global box office totals of Captain America: The First Avenger ($364 million), Thor ($449 million), Iron Man ($585 million) and Iron Man 2 ($624 million).
