US-Fernsehen auf Sparflamme? Am Donnerstagabend hat sich die Writers Guild
of America in Los Angeles zum Streik entschieden. Am Freitagnachmittag dann die
Ankündigung: Ab Montag geht nichts mehr. Matt Roush, Autor des amerikanischen
„TV Guide“ und einer der geschätztesten TV-Kritiker der USA, schreibt für DWDL.de
über die Gründe und die unmittelbaren Folgen des Autoren-Streiks ...
Ich hoffe wirklich das der Streik schnell vorbei ist, sonst sieht es mit der aktuellen
Season wohl ziemlich mies aus. Man stelle sich mal eine Staffel von 24 mit nur 15
Folgen oder so vor. Und das betrifft ja nun alle Serien. Ohje.

Am Sonntagmorgen soll es nochmal ein Treffen von WGA und AMPTP geben. Ob es
eine Lösung in letzter Sekunde geben wird ist natürlich weiterhin offen. Zumindest
bei den Internet-Honoraren will die Filmindustrie den Autoren entgegenkommen.

Ich hab zwar schon von dem Streik gehört, aber noch nicht ganz verstanden, wie lange der denn dauern soll, bzw wie lange man warten muss bis die letzten Folgen von den Serien dann gedreht/geschrieben/geairt werden? Die müssen doch ein Limit haben, bzw ist das nicht gesetzlich vorgeschrieben?
Wenn nicht, dann ach du scheiße...

(cj) In wenigen Stunden treffen sich die amerikanischen Autoren und Produzenten, um die Möglichkeiten dafür auszuloten, ihren Tarifkonflikt doch noch am Verhandlungstisch beizulegen. Sollte dieser letzte Vermittlungsversuch scheitern, wonach derzeit alles aussieht, dann beginnt morgen der erste Autorenstreik seit der großen Arbeitsniederlegung von 1988.

Maestro, du kannst dich insofern beruhigen, die drehen die meisten Serien, wenn schon fast alle Folgen vorliegen, geschrieben, werden die Serien meistens während die Serien laufen, allerdings könnte es sein, dass die finalen Folgen im MOment noch nicht gedreht sind und von daher noch nicht geschrieben sind, aber ich geh mal davon aus, dass die das Problem bis März gelöst haben! |

Da bist du aber ganz falsch informiert! Die meisten Serien sind erst bei Folge
10-12, nicht umsonst sprechen einige schon vom Ende der aktuellen Season.

eben, die meisten Serien haben gerade mal bis zu 5 Folgen vorproduziert, sprich ab Januar würden fast allen die Folgen ausgehen. Und da die TV-Season in den USA noch nicht sehr alt ist (Grey's,Heros und Co. sind gerade bei 6-7 gezeigten Folgen + eventuelle 5 noch fertig geschriebene..) .. würden das sehr kurze Staffeln werden. |

Der Streik wird doch wohl nicht bis Januar dauern, allerdings bin ich auch dafür, dass die Autoren mehr Geld kriegen, immerhin verdienen sich die Produzenten dumm und dämlich.
Bis Januar vorprodiziert ist gut, die Serien laufen ja auch nur meistens bis März oder April, höchstens bis Mai und ich weiß natürlich, dass die Serien alle erst im Oktober angelaufen sind.
Eine Staffel hat im Schnitt 22 Folgen, bis Januar sind die dann in der Regel bei Folge 13-15 dann kommen nicht mehr allzu viele, also ist eine Staffel fast durchgeplant. |

Glaub doch einfach was die Experten sagen. Und der letzte Streik ging 22 Wochen,
wenn nun also keine kurzfriste Lösung kommt geht's ab Montag los, sollte der Streik
mehr als einige Tage dauern, so wird z.B. Heroes nach Folge 11 beendet. Und normal
laufen Serien immer bis Mai. Hier nochmal ein interessanter Artikel dazu:

hoff die kommen zu ner lösung.
4 Cent für ne dvd ist doch ein witz. denke 1$ wäre sehr gut für die autoren. und wenn sie dann pro folge ca. 20-25% mehr lohn kriegen auch. |

Sie wollen ja nicht mal einen Dollar sondern nur das Doppelte von dem was sie jetzt haben (im Bereich der DVDs).

The writers' strike started today, and the writers themselves will be picketing studios and making themselves heard. If the Writers Guild of America strike keeps TV scribes off the job for a while, it's going to alter your viewing habits big time. The WGA called for a work stoppage after failing to get a bigger slice of revenue from DVD sales and a piece of what the networks expect to earn from digital downloads of TV shows.
All of the networks say they have enough scripts on hand to keep making sitcoms and dramas well into January. But here's what you should expect if both sides don't reach an agreement soon.
ABC
Since the writers who work on reality shows (yes, they do have writers) are not covered by the WGA contract, every network will be heavily dependent on that genre. ABC's got a stockpile of Supernanny and Wife Swap to draw on, and more episodes of the summer series Just for Laughs and Oprah's Big Give.
While episodes from midseason series such as Notes from the Underbelly, Cashmere Mafia and Eli Stone will be ready, the network will have to make a decision on Lost. A few episodes have already been shot, but the network will have to decide if it will be worth it to run those eps if the full, season-long story arc can't be concluded. Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel Live, like the other late-night shows, will go into repeats.
CBS
While procedurals such as CSI and Criminal Minds tend to draw viewers in repeats — giving CBS an edge over the competition — the network has been loading up on game shows. Power of 10, a moderate success over the summer, will be back. CBS also has Do You Trust Me and a new version of Password hosted by Regis Philbin.
The network is also ready to let the cameras roll in the Big Brother house if necessary. On the scripted side, you'll definitely see all seven produced episodes of Jericho. The network will also have close to 13 episodes of The New Adventures of Old Christine ready to go. The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson will go dark immediately, but the conventional wisdom is that Letterman will return after a few weeks out so that the rest of his staff can remain employed. Once he returns, so will Ferguson.
Fox
Even though it will run out of episodes of its fall sitcoms and dramas shows by January, Fox will make sure it has an original House to air following the Super Bowl.
Fox has also put its midseason shows into production as if they were fall shows, so it will have a healthy number of first-run comedies (Unhitched and Jezebel James) and dramas (New Amsterdam, The Sarah Connor Chronicles). But an extended work stoppage is likely to mean that there will be no new season of 24. Fox won't start the show if its story can't be completed in the real-time format (and 24 episodes) that viewers expect. The strike won't impact the production of American Idol. It's likely that a strike will unleash some new reality fare from Fox as well.
NBC
NBC could become the Law & Order network again, with about 10 fresh episodes of the mother ship already in the can. NBC also has the second run of USA's Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and the durable Law & Order: SVU will still be on the air in repeats.
On the reality side, the network has already expanded The Biggest Loser to two hours and has a full run of Celebrity Apprentice. It also has a few game shows ready to go — the returning 1 vs. 100, the new Amnesia and a revival of American Gladiators. If the strike lasts for a few months, NBC will even look at running some of the reality shows from its cable networks such as Top Chef and Project Runway.
The Tonight Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Later with Carson Daly and Saturday Night Live will immediately go into repeat episodes. But the feeling is that if one late-night talk-show host returns, the others will follow. “They could come back without writers,” said an insider at one of the shows. “But it will be tough.”
The CW
A full season of Everybody Hates Chris is already in the can. Otherwise, CW will depend heavily on reality shows, which typically do better than CW's scripted series. Ready to go are Farmer Needs a Wife, a mother-daughter beauty pageant competition called Crowned, and Search for the Next Pussycat Doll.
CW could also get extra cycles of Beauty and the Geek and America's Next Top Model ready. WWE Smackdown's writers also won't be affected by the strike.

Die Futzis von den Sendern sollten endlich nachgeben und den Autoren das geben was die wollen, ist doch klar, was für ein riesen Verlust die machen, wenn keine neue Folgen mehr geschrieben werden. |

Ja, die Liste ist nicht vollständig weil nicht jeder Sender bzw. Produktion Daten herausgibt. Für CSI Miami gibt es folgende Info: They have aired 6 episodes to date and we just got word that they can deliver 13 episodes for this season. Denke mal so ähnlich wird es auch für die anderen CSIs aussehen.

Es geht darum das da CSI:Miama steht und nicht CSI normal, weil ich Horatio so scheiße finde und deswegen die Serie nicht gucke. Das die es bei den 3 Serien ähnliche Produktionabläufe gibt.
Aber nochmal was zu den 8USCent/DVD. Die kann ich voll nachvollziehen. 1$ ist natürlich zu hoch. Soviel kriegt glaube ich höchsten der Executive, bin mir da aber nicht sicher.
Ich glaube aber sogar die Programmierer der DVDs kriegen mehr als 8Cent/DVD und da finde ich es dreißt, dass die Autoren der einzelnen Serien weniger kriegen, die haben auf jeden Fall mehr Arbeit. |

Da kannst dub eruhigt sein. Denn die erste und zweite Staffel ist schon abgedreht und bis die dritte bei uns läuft, hoffen wir doch mal dass die Autoren weiterschreiben.  Müsste so in einem Jahr sein oder so. |

Was hat denn die Ausstrahlung bei uns mit den Folgen in den USA zutun? Wenn diese Season nur 12 Folgen produziert werden können, dann wird es auch später bei uns nicht mehr Folgen geben. Denn es gibt einen Zeitpunkt, da wird nicht mehr für die Season 2007/2008 geschrieben, sondern da wird dann mit den Folgen für die neue Season angefangen. Wenn der Streik also länger laufen sollte, dann wird es überall verkürzte Staffeln geben.

also für sämtliche Serien dann überteuerte Staffelboxen mit nur 11-15 Folgen für wohl den gleichen Preis
Edit.. oder die neueste Erfindung : 3 Drittelboxen mit je 5 Folgen dann,zum Preis von je 40€ .. und weil sie dann auf den Geschmack kommen, gibts ab nächster Season dann immer nur 15 Folgen |
